NASA and SpaceX now are focusing on 5:23 a.m. EDT Monday, Aug. 21, for the launch of the company’s Crew-7 mission to the Worldwide House Station. The adjusted date permits further time for launch web site processing at Launch Advanced 39A at NASA’s Kennedy House Heart in Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – NASA and SpaceX now are focusing on 5:23 a.m. EDT Monday, Aug. 21, for the launch of the company’s Crew-7 mission to the Worldwide House Station. The adjusted date permits further time for launch web site processing at Launch Advanced 39A at NASA’s Kennedy House Heart in Florida.

If wanted, a backup alternative is obtainable at 3:49 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 25.

The goal date is in coordination with actions aboard the Worldwide House Station, together with operations with different crew and cargo spacecraft.

A Cygnus cargo spacecraft from Northrop Grumman and Roscosmos Progress cargo spacecraft are due on the station within the coming weeks.

NASA astronaut Jasmin Moghbeli, ESA (European House Company) astronaut Andreas Mogensen, JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Company) astronaut Satoshi Furukawa, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Konstantin Borisov will fly aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, named Endurance, which beforehand flew NASA’s SpaceX Crew-3 and Crew-5 missions to the house station.

This would be the first launch of the Falcon 9 booster SpaceX chosen to help this mission.

All {hardware} for the mission has arrived in Florida for processing. On July 25, the Dragon spacecraft was stacked to its trunk forward of its upcoming transport to SpaceX’s hangar at Launch Advanced 39A. As soon as preflight checkouts of the spacecraft are full, Dragon can be mated to the rocket forward of the built-in system’s rollout to the launch pad.
